One length of high quality 550 paracord is secured to each end of the leather pouch / pocket. Cord is finished off on one end with an easy to hold knot, and on the other end with a finger loop.

Rock Slings In HISTORY

In ancient days, "slingers" were feared combatants and were often the deciding factor in great wars because of their accuracy, effective range and their devastating impact on their foes. 

In history, most have heard of the account of David and Goliath (found in 1 Samuel 17) where David defeats the giant Goliath with a sling and a stone. His experience came from mastering a sling and defending his father's flock of sheep from large predators while alone in the wilderness.

In 401 BC we have "The Retreat of Ten Thousand" where the Greeks suffered greatly from the slingers in the Army of Artxerxes II of Persia. The Greeks who had archers and javelins could not match the effective range of the sling.

Here's the Backstory

I've tested and reviewed hundreds of pieces of gear over the last decade to find the best stuff for my Ultimate Survival Tips YouTube subscribers.

in 2013 I started looking for an "easy to everyday carry" sharpening and stropping system that I could take everywhere, all the time.

No doubt, I found and reviewed a few great tools, but most of what I discovered were either gimmicks or totally impractical tools (that never made it far enough for me to review or recommend them). Regardless, none were professional grade AND small enough to comfortably fit in my pocket, let alone my wallet. 

So (like most of my other gear innovations) I decided to develop a low profile, light weight and pocketable EDC sharpening system - myself. 

In early 2019 I began designing and testing. Let me tell you, It wasn't easy.

In fact, I lost some money to swindlers who said they could make what I was looking for - but could not. And you guessed it. They never returned my money. 

Somewhat discouraged, I continued my pursuit anyway. I knew someone in the world could make this sharpening kit my way.

A year later I finally found a manufacturer who as able to make what I envisioned, and to the precision specifications that I required.
