Our full-sized, heavy-duty survival slings pack up small, weigh less than an ounce and are designed to fit (with Tiny Survival Gear) INSIDE our Standard, Square and Large sized survival tins.
Once mastered, you too can become an effective hunter and protecter using only a sling and a stone.
High Quality - Precision Crafted - MADE in the USA
Handcrafted in the USA, our Survival Sling pouches are made from beautifully tanned chestnut brown leather. Every pouch is precision cut and preformed to securely wrap around your projectile for exceptional control and accuracy. Our pouches are soft, broken in and ready to sling projectiles up to two inches in diameter (although we suggest you start with marshmallows).
One length of high quality 550 paracord is secured to each end of the leather pouch / pocket. Cord is finished off on one end with an easy to hold knot, and on the other end with a finger loop.
In a pinch, the two lengths of paracord on this sling can be used for other survival purposes.
Our Slings come fully assembled and ready to serve you for many years and then pass on to the next generation.
Training NOTE: We recommend that you practice with marshmallows to start. They are cheap, reusable and won't put your eye out. As skill increases advance to practice golf balls. Then stones.
PLEASE USE CAUTION! ALWAYS WEAR EYE PROTECTION! ROCK SLINGS ARE A DANGEROUS AND POTENTIALLY LETHAL WEAPON! USE WITH CAUTION!
Rock Slings In HISTORY
In ancient days, "slingers" were feared combatants and were often the deciding factor in great wars because of their accuracy, effective range and their devastating impact on their foes.
In history, most have heard of the account of David and Goliath (found in 1 Samuel 17) where David defeats the giant Goliath with a sling and a stone. His experience came from mastering a sling and defending his father's flock of sheep from large predators while alone in the wilderness.
In 401 BC we have "The Retreat of Ten Thousand" where the Greeks suffered greatly from the slingers in the Army of Artxerxes II of Persia. The Greeks who had archers and javelins could not match the effective range of the sling.
