One Day It JUST Happened…
In early 2020, the world shifted. COVID hit, and suddenly—everything changed. Supply chains broke, shelves emptied, and for a while, it felt like the whole world paused.
Finding a manufacturing partner who could meet my standards for craftsmanship and precision became nearly impossible. Every lead fell through. Every plan hit a wall. At one point, I wondered if we’d ever make another knife again.
Then, after a conversation with a trusted friend (someone you probably know, though he’ll remain unnamed), I got a tip about a small, little-known manufacturer overseas—an outfit that made absolutely pristine cutting tools. They had the skill, capacity, and passion to help me bring our NextGen MSK-1 blades to life.
My friend was right.
From the very start, they impressed me—professional, precise, and downright *amazing* to work with. I pushed ideas their way faster than ever before, and they not only kept up but delivered every single time. Their attention to detail was exceptional. Their craftsmanship was world-class. They even had the confidence to speak up when something could be better—and they were always right.
And their patience! I’ll admit, I’m a perfectionist (my team might say “particular”). But no matter how many revisions or refinements we went through, they stayed steady and gracious.
Our first true test came with the MSK-1 Mini Edge on Kickstarter. It was a hit—flawless production, incredible quality, and happy backers all around. Every knife perfect. No wasted metal, no rejects, just excellence.
Next, we took things up a notch, testing their ability to heat-treat D2 steel flawless precision. The results? Near perfection.

With that momentum, it was time to bring back the BIG BOYZ.
Over the next two years—and yes, while we completely sold out of MSK-1s and PACK-1s—we worked together to build something truly next-level: from 14C28N and D2 steel to new coating technologies, redesigned handles and sheaths, increased quality, and even lower costs. Everything came together beautifully.
Now, it’s almost time to reveal what’s next.
